31 May, Monday:
The National Memorial Day Parade will be held in Wash DC on Monday 31 May down Constitution Ave . Lineup at 1230, parade starts at 1400 (2 PM).
4-6 June, Fri-Sun:
WW 2 Weekend, Reading, Pa. Airshow and ground displays, large flea market. Individual registration. http://www.maam.org/maamwwii.html
3 July, Sat:
Dale City, VA 4th of July Parade. Parade starts at 1000. Lineup at 0930 on Dale Bvld. I should be there first so just drive down Dale Blvd until you see MVs. They do not let me know the lineup until the day before. Club is registered.
3 July, Sat:
I have been asked by American Legion Post 60 in Laurel, MD if vehicles are available for WW2 Vets participating in a 4th of July parade. The parade is on 3 July in Laurel, MD, a few miles west of FT Meade. I will probably be there with my 1942 Willys jeep. 4 July, Sun:
The 2010 Independence Day Parade is schedule to start at 1145 am on Sunday, 4 July. The club is registered and has been requested to carry veterans from the Military Order of the Purple Heart. This year the parade will go from 7th St down Constitution Ave to 17th. Come to the lineup area between 0930 and 1015. Line-up will be on 7th St facing north. Enter 7th St from Independence going north. Go up 7th on the right side to position 28B. This position in very early in the parade so you should be finished early too. This is right behind the Purple Heart Group at 28A. If you can carry any of the Purple Heart people, please let them know at that time. Portapotties on site. Bring something to eat and drink. It is a long day. I have parade passes, so if you plan to attend let me know, with your address and I will send you one. I also have a pass to park your tow vehicle. Let me know if you can carry anyone too.
4 July, Sun:
The town of Leesburg is having a July 4 th parade on Sunday 4 July. Parade starts at 1400 (2pm). Assemble at Ida Lee Park between 1200 and 1330. Individual registration. 10-11 July, Sat-Sun:
WW2 Weekend at Sully Historic Site off route 28 near Dulles. The same exit as the Air and Space Museum Annex. If any of you have a WW2 vehicle and would like to come out for the day or the weekend, that is great. Let me know which day(s) and I will give them a headcount. This is a WW2 living history event so you should be in some type of uniform. I will have a shade shelter, table and chairs for you to hang out in. I will have cold drinks. Bring your own lunch for Saturday. If you want to come Sunday, either bring your own lunch or there will be a lunch available cooked on original mess stoves. Cost is $4. If you are staying the weekend, breakfast is being cooked for both days at a nominal fee. Supper Sat night is free for participants. Bring your own mess plates if you have them. Let me know if you want this lunch so I can give the cook a headcount. All type of WW2 displays are welcome. Prepare for hot weather.
17 July, Sat:
Club vehicle convoy. Leaving Clive's at 1100, driving to Pen Mar Park for lunch at the overlook and then to the dirt and gravel roads of Frederick Watershed. I anticipate our return at about 1630 to 1700. Club members who have paid their 2010 dues and driving his or hers historic MV will receive $20. Bring a picnic lunch, work on your vehicle and gas it up before getting to Clive's. Clive’s place is at 8216 Old Kiln Road, Thurmont , MD. Open House for The National Museum of Americans in Wartime (www.nmaw.org) at the "tank Farm" in Nokesville, VA. Vehicle club members are welcome to bring their vehicles for display.

I am working with the Air National Guard to set up a military vehicle display at the Thunder over the Blue Ridge Airshow in Martinsburg, WV. Their website is http://www.martinsburgairshow.com/. More info to follow.
18-19 Sep, Sat-Sun:
The National Park Service will sponsor a World War II living history weekend at the Eisenhower National Historic Site, Gettysburg, PA. An authentic recreation of both Allied and German army camps, complete with original World War II vehicles, will be set up on the site. Over 100 living history enthusiasts will portray military personnel from the European Theater in 1944. Dozens of World War II vehicles will be on display.

29th Annual Columbus Day Parade in Sterling, VA. Each year we host a hometown and patriotic parade on the Saturday before Columbus Day.
